Pain of Moving On

We would always think that moving on is painful, well yes it is. Moving on is part of loving. And loving is part of living. We can always detach ourselves from someone to stop hurting but oftentimes we’re too afraid to do it thinking how to live our lives without him by our side. But regardless of how hard it is to move on, we definitely need to start learning to live our lives and let go of the things that hurt us.
Being alone can be devastating to many of us. But hey, your world doesn't stop there. The world is still turning and hell sure you’ll be able to meet someone destined for you. Though the journey may not be easy, just believe in you and believe in love.
When we got hurt, we lose faith on love, we lose faith in ourselves, we drown ourselves so much in pain and we forget that we’re still worthy of someone. Yes, we have any right to feel this way since it’s really not easy to go through heartache but again, losing someone means having the opportunity to meet someone more deserving and worthy of you.
Remember the movie, A Walk to Remember? I so love this movie. It shows that we should never fail to believe in love. That even it’s impossible to love, they still did. It’s just so sad that Jamie has to die in the movie, but see how Landon managed to continue living even without Jamie? How he continued loving Jamie despite her absence physically? This movie tells us that even if we can’t have or even if we can’t be together with someone we so much love, we just need to believe in love even if we've been hurt or even if we've been left alone. But anyways, let’s go back to the real world.
What I just wanted to share to you guys is that, we cannot avoid the hurt that’s ahead of us once we entertain love. But hurt fades in time and surely time would heal any wound. I’m pretty sure you've already heard of this. But this is true. Even I myself is living and believing with this cliché. Because I know that in the right time, all wounds would heal and we’ll be able to face the world again. In time, we will learn how to deal with love, and basically what we need to learn is that we must love ourselves more than how much we can love others so that if ever it won’t work again, we can still manage to smile and continue living even if it means being alone.
Seriously, we never really don’t have to worry because we’ll definitely find someone perfectly meant for us. It’s just a matter of time.

My GrownUp Christmas List

Men and women, young or old, we all have our own different wishes every Christmas. Toys, clothes, candies for kids. But for grownups, we already know that this stuff isn’t that important. Merely half of billions of people around the world have the same Christmas wish – and that’s to have a better life, a stable job, a happy relationship with your partner, and a strong family bond.
When we were young, we’re happy to receive toys from our godparents and family. To think it’s enough to make kids happy. Well it is, since kids don’t know yet the meaning of true happiness coz chocolates, candies and toys are enough to make them happy. Though not every child is. Only child from several families would also wish for a longer family bonding, more time to spend with their parents since their parents aren’t always at home and is busy with their professions.
When we grow up, we have a deeper understanding what true happiness is. We can find happiness everywhere but true happiness is hard to find. And I think it’s the most used Christmas wish every year. J I mean who wouldn’t want to feel completely happy, right? Though we can find it from our family, friends and relatives, some of us may still feel incomplete. Especially during holiday season where almost everyone wishes to have that special someone to spend the holidays with.
You might even feel tired hoping and waiting for that special someone you can spend your life with but hey, the world is round and definitely there’s also someone out there waiting for you. Maybe your roads haven’t collided yet but for sure it will.
But love isn’t just the only thing grownup wishes for - though it is like 80% of our wish. Grownups also wish for a stable job, a stronger family and a healthier life. See? Everything’s not about love. ;)
In this chaotic world today, I’m pretty sure there are those hopeful souls who wish to have a better world to live upon. There have been a lot of massacres around the world, youth and mass killings. It’s just so sad to think what could be the life of the next generations will have. And that all we can do is pray and hope for the best for our kids’ future.
In the end, it wouldn’t really matter if our wish came true or not, thing is, we have another year to make our wishes come true, and another chance to find true happiness.
Happy Holidays! J
